![]() Each building also has its own fitness center and Commonwealth Hall houses a student wellness center open to all members of the WCU community. Lastly, apartments for visiting faculty include kitchenettes, living rooms, spacious bedrooms, and full baths. Each floor contains two study lounges and laundry facilities. Inside, the main floor of each building features a student lounge and common area, including a small theater. Brick and cast stone define the aesthetic of each building while the configuration creates defined outdoor courtyards filled with student activity spaces. Phase II provided 653 beds through construction of a third building: Commonwealth Hall. ![]() Phase I provided 1,258 beds through construction of two seven-story buildings: Allegheny and Brandywine Halls. Our plan also offered significant savings while still meeting the university’s desire to take cues from the historic core campus architecture.
